    When Napoleon landed in Italy the French Army was in low spirits, and they had a little amount of supplies. To cheer his soldiers up he promised them honor, glory, and riches for sticking with him, and trusting him. He gave his man that with battles against the Austrian army. Napoleon drove his enemies out of Italy, and closed within 25 miles of Vienna. The treaty of Campo Formio ended this. It was important because it gave France more territories, and made Napoleon more popular.

    On October 1795 Royalists rebels marched on the National Convention. A government official gave Napoleon a chance to lead the French Army, and protect the delegates. Napoleon won the war, and was praised as a hero. in 1796 Napoleon was selected as General for the French army. This event is so important because this is the beginning of Napoleons legacy, and him winning many wars.

    Campaign In Egypt

    In this Campaign Napoleon had to deal with Turks, Mamluks, and the British. When the French landed in Egypt on 1798 they gained lands, they even won the battle of pyramids, but their luck ran out when they were in Syria. British forces got rid of French supplies, and support, and in France the government, and radicals were fighting this made France allies inspired to invade. Napoleon left Egypt to help out France. Going to Egypt was a failure, but Napoleon made the coup d'état.

    Napoleon Bonaparte signs the concordat with Pope Pius the 8th to get the Catholic Church back in France this is important because it will make the people of France like Napoleon even more because the peasants rely on the church, and him bringing it will make the peasants like him.

    The Napoleonic is a set of laws written by Napoleon, this law gave all French citizens the same rights, all French citizens where equal, but this took away a few rights won during the Revolution such as they limited freedom of speech, and brought back slavery to French colonies. This was important because although every citizen is equal why would there be slavery so they wouldn't be equal.

    As Napoleon was going to be crowned king he took the crown out of the popes hands, and crowns himself by doing this he shows his independence. Although Napoleon had some accomplishments as emperor he also had many failures which led to him being exiled away from France.

    During the battle of Trafalgar the British army took many ships which led to them winning the battle against the French. Due to Napoleon losing he decided to stop attacking the British, and focus on Austria, and Russia.

    After being defeated by the British Napoleon tries to stop the British from trading with other countries using a blockade, but instead the British use a blockade, and the French are defeated again, and the French people are starting to lose trust in Napoleon, and the country is getting weaker.

    Campaign in Russia

    During this war the Russian army used a technique on the French which is called scorched earth. Using this slowly defeated the French army because the Russian army burned all of the French crops leaving them with nothing stranded in Russia. As the French army is starving winter was approaching, so Napoleon decided to send his army back. Although 40,000 survived about 10,000 men in the French army couldn't fight for Napoleon any more.

    After Napoleon had lost many soldiers due to his campaign in Russia he recruited more soldiers who were have never fought in war before. The French lost, and then they were defeated in Paris. This event is important because it led to Napoleon being exiled to Elba

    From being defeated in the battle of Leipzig Napoleon was sent to a small island called Elba. When Napoleon was in charge King Louis the 18th was ruler. The people of France didn't like Louis as a leader so they welcomed back Napoleon.

    This battle Louis still wanted to get revenge on the British army, but not only were the British involved the Prussian army was involve Prussia, and British army joined forces, and the French army lost once again, and Napoleon was exiled a second time, but to St Helena.

    After losing the battle in Waterloo Napoleon was exiled a second time to St. Helena where he eventually died there.
  • Death of Napoleon

    Death of Napoleon
    Napoleon Bonaparte was sent to St. Helena, and died there after living there fro June 22, 1815 to May 5, 1821 so 6 years. When he died he was sent back to France, and buried there. When Napoleon died he was known as a military genius.
