  • Navigation Acts

    Navigation Acts
    These acts made it so the colonists, though it did not hurt immensely, were enraged. Once again, the British empire was angered because the colonies did not follow their rules.
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act
    The Act set a tax on sugar and molasses imported into the colonies which impacted the manufacture of rum in New England. The colonists boycotted the sugar and molasses sales. This, once again, angered England.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act taxed items of paper. The colonists were mad because they were being taxed alot at this point and so they boycotted all paper goods from the British empire. The British were mad that they refused to pay taxes.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    The Declaratory Act repeals the Stamp Act and states that the British Government had complete control over the English Colonies. The Colonists were outraged and the British were very angry with the colonists.
  • The Townshend Acts

    The Townshend Acts
    The Townshend Acts imposed duties on glass, lead, paints, paper and tea imported into the colonies. The colonists considered this the last straw and went into hysteria. The British were frightened and mad that the colonies were going to revolt.
