13th Amendment Ratified
The 13th amendment ratified of 1865 was the passing of amendment 13 which formally abolished slavery . On January 31 the U.S constitution ended slavery and any forms involuntary labor anywhere in the United States of America -

In the first election of the Reconstruction Era Grant defeated Horatio Seymour of the Democratic Party. Grant led the Union Army as Commanding General of the United States Army. -
15 Amendment Ratified
The 15th amendment of 1870 allowed for African American men to be granted voting rights . This amendment protects the voting rights of all citizens regardless of race or the color of their skin, this amendment didn’t including women of any race. -

Hiram Rhodes Revels was the first African American to serve, he was elected by the Mississippi State Legislature. -
1st Black Governor Elected
Pinckney Benton Stewart Pinchback
He won the election to Louisiana State Senate in 1868 and became the president of pro tempore of the state senate. Pinchback stayed in New Orleans after the Civil War and becoming active in Republican politics. -
Civil Rights Act of 1875
This is the bill that guaranteed all citizens, regardless of color, access to accommodations, theatres, public schools, churches, and cemeteries. This bill gave people their rights. -

The compromise 1876 was an unwritten deal. The United States federal government pulled the last troops out of the South, and formally ended the Reconstruction Era. -
