    Differences Between Real Macbeth and Shakespeares Macbeth
    1) In the play Macbeth killed Duncan while he was sleeping in Macbeth's Castle. In history Macbeth killed Duncan in battle. 2) In history Macbeth ruled for approximately 17 years. In the play his reign is very short. It is never stated how long it was but from the sequence of events it can be inferred that it was short. 3) In history Macbeth was not a blood-thirsty, crazy person. He was not an evil king. In the play he will kill anyone that has a chance at the throne.
