The Pierre Nation

  • The Plague II

On this day, the first case of the plague was reported after hundreds of years. This led most Dominican Republicans to hop on boats and seek a new home, before the disease could spread.
  • New land!?

The Dominican Republican refugees have discovered an island, which had a settlement of maybe 20-30 people. They exchanged their knowledge and worked together to develop new, innovative technologies. What a happy New Year!
  • Personal space

The new found islanders, and the Dominicans, had totally different ideas of government. The Dominicans wanted a government a lot more like that of a confederation, whereas the islanders were running a small democracy. This caused conflict, and led to a division of the island.
  • Hey who are they??

MORE refugees have arrived!!! They claim to be from Haiti. At first, this was bad news. EVERYBODY on the island thought "these people must have the plague as well." Well, luckily, they didn't. However what they did bring was food, seeds, water-powered electronics (nobody understood this) and more. These foods and technologies were divided equally among the islanders, and the Dominicans.
  • Making amends

Alright, this whole separation this is NOT working out at this point! The Haitian refugees will not pick a side or find their own space. They cross back and forth from the native side to the Dominican side, and us Dominicans decide to approach the native side with a sort of peace treaty.
  • Judith Pierre

After seeing that the original peace treaty got no response from the natives, Pierre took up the initiative of writing her own peace treaty. One with better, and more reasonable propositions. She brought this paper to the natives, and Haitian Refugees on the native side, and they had a meeting/discussion. This led to the start of the Pierre Nation.
