The Greasers Friends
Thee introduction of the main characterride Ponyboy and his friends. After Ponyboy went out of the cinema, he was jumped by other group of youth in the society which was called Socs and got help from his friends. After the enjoyable conversation, these girls were taken away by some Socs' cars. -
The hard relationship between the Socs and the Greasers
Ponyboy was cought up by a group of Socs after he left the cinema. The Socs took a knive to frighten Ponyboy to make a "haircut“ for him, mostly they wanted to kill him. Afterthen, Ponyboy was saved by his brothers luckily. This part would like to show the serious relation between the Socs and the Greasers. They fight against each other. -

The Girls
Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally met Cherry Valence and Marcia. Although both of these two girls and socs had a happy chat with them. Ponyboy and cherry talked about his friends, the difference between Socs and Greasers, and the sunset. This part is the introduction about relation bewteen Socs and Greasers. -
Darry slapped Ponyboy
Ponyboy and Johnny slept a few hours outside after they dated with the girls. In midnight, Ponyboy felt cold, and decided to go home soon. He found Soda and Darry were waiting for him for a long time. Then Dally got angry with Ponyboy, and slapped him very strongly. Ponyboy became madder and madder about his experiment and run away. He found out Johnny boy and went to nearby park together. This is the reason why they run away from home. Ponyboy began to think whether Darry love him or not. -
Johnny killed Bob in a park
When they arrived at the park, there were five Socs coming to them,the leader of the Socs was named Bob who was Cherry's boyfriend. The Socs were annoyed about the behavior of these two Greasers, and tried to hit them. They pushed Ponyboy under the water, and it scared these two Greasers to death. Johnny killed Bob to save Ponyboy and also frightened the other Socs away. Johnny became cooler and tougher after he killed Bob, which made Ponyboyknow better about Johnny's personality. -
Dally helped Ponyboy and Johnny run away
Johnny and Ponyboy decided to ask help from Dally after Bob was died. Dally was living in a bar, and he was surprised and worried about their trouble. He gave them some money and a gun secretly. Dally guided them to hide in a deserted church. This part is essential during the whole story, it is obvious that Dally loved Johnny so much. -
Going to the church and the first day experiment
In the next morning, they arrived at the old church by train. Johnny boy bought many things including a week's food and drinks, also the book named "Gone With The Wind". They had their heart-breaked haircut in that afternoon. To face the sunset, the sentence "nothing gold can stay" effected the emotion of Ponyboy a lot. The haircut was an emotional event for them, their haircut was the sympol of Greasers, it seemed that they won't be tough and cool forever if they lost their hair. -
Nothing gold can stay
One morning, they got up early to see the sunrise and felt some precious time during their life. Then Ponyboy said a sentence "Nothing gold can stay" to describe their poor condition. Everything around them had changedat all, they lost their home, family, hair and happiness. Now, what they could only do is to hide in the church in order to escape from police. -
The church is on fire!
Johnny told Dally that he wanted to tell the policeman and paid for his crimes. When he drived to home, he found that church was on fire. They ran to the church, and saved the children. Ponyboy and Dally had a few injuries, but Johnny was hit by a piece of timber. After a few hours, They went to the hospital. -
They are heroes
They wanted to become positive and kind but the society did not permit them. The society thoug ththat Greasers could only degenerate, but every person could be good or bad despite their social groups. -
Fifth day, Dally's visiting
On the fifth day, Dally came to visit them and told them the news. He gave Ponyboy the letter from Soda. Ponyboy knew that Darry felt so sad for slapping him. Although Darry was just too angry and worried Ponyboy, both Darry and Soda loved Ponyboy and wanted to protect him. They also wanted Ponyboy to go to the college. The letter shows a strong relationship between three brothers. Cherry would like to be greasers' spy because she want to help help Ponyboy. -
Randy's Visiting
The news reporters interview the Curtis brithers. The next day, Ponyboy hangs out with Two-Bit when Soda and Darry are working. They run onto Randy who asks to talk with Ponyboy. He says thet he is not going to fight and greasers are doom to fail. -
TAlk with Johnny
Johnny was in bad condition. He didn't want to die. He was only sixteen years old. He wanted to leaarn more things, but he did the wrong things. He told Ponyboy do not waste time. -
Fight
Ponyboy did not find Randy. Ponyboy hoped he wasn't there. A guy said,"Let's get rules straight nothing but our fists, and the first to run lose." during the fighting. -
Johnny's Dying
Johnny was dead because he was burnt badly. He told Ponyboy to leave fighting and to value everything good in his life. -
Dally's death
Dally could not face everything that happened. He didn't want live with unfeeling, hopeless and cruel. Johnny's death gave him the least reason to die.He selected this different choose beacause he is a man who is volient. -

Randy's second visiting. Ponyboy said he killed Bob but not Johnny. He couldn't accept that Johnny was dead. -
Johnny's letter
Johnny said Ponyboy was young and he had the future, not to give up. He wanted to tell Dally to keep living. He still had a lot of time to make himself be what he wants. There are many good things in the world, but it also too late for Dally.
