Pony was beaten by Socs firstly.
It determines the contradiction between Socs and Greasers at the beginning of the passage. -
Dally took Pony and Johnny to the movie theater, and they met Cherry, and Pony and Johnny thought well of Cherry.
It indicates that there must be a contradiction between Socs and Greasers, because Socs' girlfriends thought well of Pony and Johnny: at the same time, so do they. -
The first contradiction between Socs and Greasers, and Socs just warned them to get away from their girlfriends.
Their contradiction became more serious; on the other hand, it can figures out that Greasers are emotional and Socs are rude,outrageous and impolite. -
They had a big fighting on the ground, and Bob was killed by Johnny.
It seems that their contradiction came to a head, and that shows Greasers are emotional, because Johnny killed Bob in order to help Pony get out of trouble. -
Pony and Johnny decided to go to the church.
Johnny killed Bob because of Pony, and they did not want to be arrested by police, as a result they had to escape. This event is the transition something happened in the church. -
Pony Johnny and Dally came back to the church, but they found that the church was on fire.
They came back to the church from DQ ice-cream store, then they decided not to go to confess their crime. From this action, we can see that the Greasers are emotional, kind and they can recognize their mistakes and correct them. -
They got injured, because they saved children.
It can show that how Greasers are emotional, and they always like to help with others, it is a strong comparison between Socs and Greasers, and it is still the reason why Johnny died. -
Randy ask pony have a talk with him, and after conversation between he and randy he realize not all the soc 's are bad.
This chapter may cause Soc's agree with greasers, that is they will not bring their weapons to the fight. -
Pony and two-bit went to see Johnny and Dally. Johnny was in bad condition and Dally is ok. Then pony met cherry and figure out that cherry is still a good people.
This chapter give a clue that Dally will go to the fight, and this chapter also shows that pony has changed his opinion of Soc's. -
Pony went to the park with other greasers, then they met Soc's and had a fight, greasers win the fight.
This chapter happened the most important event-Johnny died, this event will make greasers so sad because Johnny is the one who really needs love.And the one who affect the most is Dally, because he loves Johnny so much that he become crazy after Johnny died.And this is one of the reason that pony become cruel like Dally. -
Johnny died because of his serious burn.
It is one of the reasons why there was a large fighting between Socs and Greasers, because Greasers wanted to revenge for Johnny's death. At the same time, Johnny played a important role in greasers, because he can always improve their relationships between them, and deal with their inner contradiction. -
Dally died because he become crazy and robbed a store,then pony fell asleep because his fever and Johnny, Dally's died.
This chapter shows pony has lose two important people in his life one is Johnny, the other one is Dally. Maybe because of that, pony imagine that Johnny is still alive, and this happened in the next chapter. -
Pony went the judge, and the final result is Johnny is innocent.
This is the last chapter and the end of the book . In this chapter, Pony realized that when he should do and have a more beautiful future, because Johnny's letter. -
Pony broke the wine-bottle in order to intimidate Socs who wanted to revenge for Bob.
These event shows that Pony had changed a lot, because he dared to everything before Johnny died, but now he can face these atrocious Socs by himself(Two-bits just saw him, and he did not do anything.) -
Pony found that Johnny wrote this letter(in other words, the whole story).
It is the end of the novel, and it has responding relationship with the beginning of the novel, and Pony changed a lot and grew up and became mature.
