Getting Jumped
Ponyboy went to home alone from the theater.Suddenly，he found a red car of Socs‘ followed him.This was the first time he was beaten by socs,but he saw other his friends was beaten by them. Luckly,he still was alive when his brothers and friends came to save him.( This was the background of the book. The Greasers and Socs always had a big conflicts with each other.) -

Went to the cinema--The Dingo
Ponyboy's brothers and friends thought it was not safe to let him to go to theater alone again.So, Ponyboy went to theater with Dally and Jonny the next day .At there,they met two girls,Cherry and Marcia.Dally talked awful to two girls that made them angry.Jonny tried to protect them,so they found Jonny and Pony who were not like Greasers and they liked them.(Cherry was a vital role in the book because her boyfriend was Sosc and she connected the Socs to Greasers. ) -
Randy and Bob
Jonny,Dally and Pony send two girls back to their home,however ; they met their boyfriends,Randy and Bob.And Jonny found one of them who wore three heavy rings was the person who hurt him about 4 months ago.Their boyfriends were angry about two girls stayed with Greasers ,though they got grunk.So, they want to fought with the Greasers.But they would not fight with each other because of Cherry.(Jonny knew who hurt him at that time.He wanted to revenge. ) -
Killed Bob
Pony and Jonny met 5 drunk Socs in the park. Bob wanted to drown Pony.So Jonny came to help Ponny and killed Bob with his knife.The rest of Socs ran away.(If the Socs did not come to the Greaser's territory and not hurt Pony, Bob would not die. And they start to make their getaway because Jonny became a murderer.) -
Found Dally for help 1
They told Dally what happened on them. Dally gave them clothes,a gun and 50 dollars.Then Dally told them to take a tomorrow train to Windrixville.At there they should bought foods for a week.And they would hide themselves in a church.Also they would not worry about water because a pump was in back. And Dally would go there as long as there was nothing,(If they did not go to church, -
Pony back to home
Ponyboy went to home too late about 2 a.m because Dally and he talked and they felt asleep. Darry was angry about that and slapped Pony as well as yelled at Soda.Pony ran out of his home. He was so angry that he went to the park with Jonny.(If Darry won't slap Pony,Ponyboy would not go to the park with Jonny and met Socs.Jonny would not kill Bob.) -
Found Dally for help 2
there would be nothing happened and they would became heroes.Even Jonny would not die.) -
Cutting hair
Jonny used his knife to cut dowm Ponyboy's hair and his own.And he bleached Pony's hair.(The hair is the symbol of the Greasers.But others would recognize them because of their hair.And they would be arrested.They even did not want to get out of the Greasers.) -

Stayed in the church
The next 4 or 5 days they stayed at church.They killed time by reading Gone with the Wind and playing jocker.Jonny did like the book very much,especially the Southern Gentleman maintained honor to fight.And Jonny thought Southern Gentleman just like Dally who is the real hero in the real life.Ponyboy began to change his mind about Dally. -
Life in the church
They found the way to Jay Mountain to arrive at the church.The church was very old and poor.And we fall aspleep in there.When Ponyboy woke up,Jonny went out to buy some food.The life in there was hrad.(Nothing gold can stay.) -
Nothing Gold Can Stay
Ponyboy recited the poem--Nothing Gold Can Stay to Johnny.Johnny understood the meaning but Pony did not.
(Ponyboy did not know the meaning of the poem until Ponyboy read the letter from Jonny when he dead. And he enjoyed reading and witing so that he could write a book about their llife.) -
A SPY
Cherry is a spy between the Greasers and Socs.She told other Socs she was Bob's girlfriend and the whole mess were caused by her because the Socs were drunk that day that wanted to fight with us.The Greasers were just in self-defense.( She would help Ponyboy in the court later.) -
Saved Children
When Dally ,Jonny and Ponnyboy back to the church, they found it was on fire and thought it would be their fault.So they went in to save children.( The Greasers were brvae ,responsible. Saving the children caused Jonny dead later.It was a turning point.Also they becaome heroes.) -
Darry came to the hospital
Darry came to the hospital.(Ponyboy knew Darry loved him.Their relationship gradually became better.) -
Dally came!
Dally came to see them, brought a letter from Soda and told Pony that Darry wanted him come back and what happened outside .Dally smoked at church and took Pony and Jonny out to eat something.(Ponyboy knew Darry always cared and loved him.
Dally smoked caused the fire at church.) -
Talked with Randy
Randy told Ponnyboy that there was a rumble between the Greasers and the Socs and he would not at the rumble because even the Greasers would win them, they still at the bottom of society.( No one would change their state because of the rumble .The rumble did not mean anything.) -
Visiting Jonny in the hospital
Jonny said he used to want to commit suicide,but now he thought 16 years were too short to live in the world. And he did not want to see his mother, so he suddenly was in a bad situation.
(Jonny was going to die in a few days.) -
A Rumble
The Greasers and the Socs had a rumble at the vacant lot .Although the Greasers won it,nothing would be changed at all.(The rumble did not mean anything.) -
Stay Gold
After the rumble,Dally took the injured Ponyboy to the hospital. The doctor told them that Jonng was not well and he was going to die.Jonny told them last few words --Stay gold,Ponyboy ,Stay gold. And then Jonny died. Dally cried and ran out of the room.(Dally would did some crasy things because of Jonny's death.) -
Dally died
Dally was shocked about Jonny's death and could not accept that.So he robbed a grocery and took a gun to the police,Jonney was killed by the police's gun.
(He liked Jonny very much and treated him like a little brother.He even could not accept Jonny was died.) -

Ponyboy has been slept for 5 days
Because his head was kicked during the rumble and he got a concussion. -
Ponyboy woke up
He asked whether he asked for Darry or not.(He still loved Darry in his deep mind.) -

Ponyboy said that he killed Bob bot Jonny,however;the judge still said that Ponyboy was innocence after he heard the testimony of others and with the help of doctor.Ponyboy could still live with Darry and Soda.(The judge played an important role -

When Ponyboy back to school , all his life became worse and worse and he did not pass the exams except the math. His English teacher wanted to give Ponyboy a chance to pass his class with C grade.( That was why he wrote the essay.) -
Wrote "The Outsiders"
Ponyboy finally decided to write what happened during this period after he found a paper of Jonny's book in Gone With Wind, telling him to keep looking at the sunsets and told Dally to see that once,However ;Dally was dead.(Ponyboy wanted everyone to knew no matter you were Greasers or Socs, you were just a person.Everyone had conflicts with others and experienced their own life.Starting his English teacher first.)
