    On the 17th of February 1963, James and Deloris Jordan had there third son at the Auburn Family Reception Center Brooklyn, New York. Michael Jordan was one of five children, having two brothers James R. Jordan Jr & Larry Jordan and had two sisters Roslyn Jordan & Deloris Jordan.

    When Michael Jordan was in 16 years old, he was cut from Laney High high basketball team, as he was too short standing at 5”11 (1.80cm). Laney High is located at Wilmington, North Carolina.

    In 1980 Michael Jordan was the star of his high school team, who scored several 40 point games and lead his team to a Division 2 playoffs but got eliminated after the second round

    In 1981 in Michael Jordan’s senior year he again lead his team to the Division 2 playoffs and same as before Laney high got eliminated after the second round. Due to Michael Jordan’s talents he was selected for the McDonald’s all-star team, which lead to college offers from Duke, North Carolina, South Carolina, Syracuse and Virginia.

    In 1981 Michael Jordan received a full scholarship to North Carolina University. A full scholarship is where the student has to pay very little expense for their college education and Sport as the school pays for most of it.

    In 1982 Michael Jordan hit the game winning shot against GorgeTown to win the NCAA championship. Michael Jordan Hit a 19ft jumper at with 15 seconds left giving them a win. Michael Jordan was 19 years old as a freshmen.

    A college scholarship applies for 4 years, Michael Jordan stayed at college for three years and in that time he received the Naismith and the Wooden College Player of the Year awards in 1984.
