    Mungo Lady and Mungo Man

    The Mungo Lady and Mungo Man are one of the most important human remains ever found outside of Africa. When the discovery was found, the story of this land and its people changed greatly around the world.
    The Mungo Man and Lady were early inhabitants of Australia, their remains were discovered at Lake Mungo, New South Wales in 1974, found by an archaeologist Dr. Jim Bowler. He was shifting sand dunes when he found the remains.

    The Aboriginal Australians were the first people to inhabit this land. This was the time when they were living on our land, this was their area until the First Fleet arrived to Australia and took over. They had lived on this country for many many years, this happened in 40,000 BC.

    Otzi the Iceman

    Otzi is the nickname of a mummy that has been preserved, he has believed to have lived between 3400 and 3100 BCE. The mummy was found in September of 1991 in the Otztal Alps, which is where the nickname Otzi comes from.
    He was discovered accidentally by hikers in 1991, and with him was his clothing and equipment, on the Schnalstal glacier and has been the researched every since.

    Mesopotamian is a historical region in West Asia, Cuneiform script is one of the earliest forms of writing, it was invented by the Sumerians of Mesopotamian in c. 3500 - 3000 BCE.

    Great Pyramid in Egypt

    The Great Pyramid of Giza is a symbol of Egypt and is the last of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World that exists. The pyramid is the to a height of 146 metres with a base of 230 metres and is made of over two million blocks of stone.
    Some of these stones that the pyramid is made of such great size and weight that raising and positioning them so precisely seems impossible by modern standards.

    Narrabeen Man Death

    The Narrabeen Man was murdered in the town of Narrabeen. He was believed to have been killed by death spears by other people from the Aboriginal tribe that he belonged to. At the time of the Aboriginal people they used spears to punish people for breaking laws or not following rules that were set. This may have been the case of why the Narrabeen Man was murdered. He was found with 3 spears through his body and small fish bones in his stomach.

    The Second World War started and lasted until 2nd September 1945, it was also a global war and started after the conflict after the First World War.

    On this day, on the 1st of January, everyone celebrated the 20th century. People all over the world got together to celebrate this event.
  • My Elder Sister was Born

    Although this event did not happen after the day I was born, this day was still extremely important. On this day my elder sister Amy was born, who is a very significant person in my life.

    On this day, I was born in Adelaide Australia at 8:00 in the morning. It was the most significant day of my life, as it was when my life had started.

    This day was very important in my life as it was the first day of school. I started of at Westminster School in ELC, and I now I am still at the same school but currently in Year 7. I have been at Westminster for 8 years now, and this is my 9th year.

    On this day, I got my first dog named Lucy, she is a very significant part of my life. She is a Maltese Shih Tzu x and she still has a huge impact on my life.
