Nobody knows when this happened, but lets say it started happening on Jan. 2nd. 2000. The Solar System was in its first stages. Earth had a planet named Theia and it was about hte size of Mars. But that was all about to change.

Let's say it took a month for Theia to crash into Earth. The crash ejected a ring of dust into space.

It took nearly a week for all the dust to form the moon.

After thousands of years, the Earth and The Moon formed into what they are today. And that's how the moon was formed.
