The battle of little bighorn broke on June 25th and continued until June 26th. -
Battle of Wounded Knee
200 people were massacred in The battle of Wounded Knee. The war was between U.S. soldiers and Indians. Even though it's called a battle, it was more like a massacre. -

Brown v Board of Education
The court unanimously ruled the separate but equal public schools for blacks and whites were unconstitutional. After this most schools opened their doors of education to all students. -
Montgomery Bus Boycott
Rosa Parks was arrested and fined for refusing to give her seat to a white man. The boycott of public Montgomery bus' by African Americans began on the day of Parks' court hearing & lasted approximately 381 days. -
Little Rock High-school (Nine)
The first day of school, bars were placed on the windows of the black students entry to the school. Later federal troops had to escort the "Little Rock Nine" into the school. They started their first day of school September 25th. -
March on Washington
Over a quarter of a million people participated in the March of Washington to hear the "I have a dream" speech by Martin Luther Jr. -
Murder in Pairs
James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, & Micheal Schwerner were all working to register black voters in Mississippi. And because of this, they were all found murdered by the Ku Klux Klan.
