Rocket Summer
During the winter of Ohio the people are out doing activities one typically does during the colder months like skiing. This continues until aspace rocket launches sending a intense wave of heat. -
Ylla
In this Chronicle a martian couple Ylla and Yll are unhappily married. Ylla dreams about a fantasy with a an american man. But the dreams are actually of earth men coming to mars and they are real. -
The Summer Night
Martians all over mars are singing american songs for no reason. The younger martians sing children songs while the older martians sing current songs of that time. -
The Earth Men
Captain Jonathan Williams and his crew arrive on mars. The martians invite the travellers to a party but the martians use their telepathic powers to create hallucinations for the earth men. But the martians that make the hallucinatins are crazy. A martian, Mr.Xxx believes the earth men are hallucinations so he shoots and kills them. When he still sees their dead bodies he thinks he has gone crazy and shoots himself. -
The Taxpayer
A man on earth wants to escape earth because of the nuclear war about to take place. Exclaiming that he pays taxes as he pleads to get on a rocket to mars as his reasoning, Men drag him away because he is not allowed to go on the space expedition. -
The third expedition
Captain John Black arrives on mars with his entourage of 16 men. They find themselves in the small midwestern town they all grew up in. the telepathic martians disguise as the earth men's dead relatives. the martians kill the third expedition but hold a funeral for the dead they slaughtered. -

A fourth expedition lands on mars. Led by Captain Wilder the men celebrate with party. All the martians seem to be dead, the reason for this is because small pox brought by a previous group killed them. Spender, an archaeologist wants to preserve life on mars. Spender beleieves that he himslef is a martian and thinks that thre other members of the party are destructive to the well-being of mars. Before he attempts to kill him, Captian Wilder shoots him. -
The Settlers
Similar to the europeans who came to the Americas, the earth people settle on mars and build towns and cottages. Although they are content, at the same time they are also lonely. -
The Old Ones
Old people come to retire at mars, similar to the way old people lock to florida in the united states. -
The Green Morning
benjamin Driscoll is a settler on mars but is struggling to breath on mars because of the barren land. he goes around planting seend but nothing will grow, but one night it rains and in just hours full grown trees cover the land. -
The Locusts
People arrive on mars like swarms of locusts. -
Night Meeting
Tomas Gomez is on his way to a party. He meets a martian by the name of Muhe Ca. Muhe Ca is from a future time. They both explain why their time period is the best but they both wonder if the other one is real... leading them to question if they themselves are real. -
The Shore
In this short chapter, more people come to mars. Like the colonization of America, the first women that come to Mars are prostitutes. The second wave of colonization is from people coming from the crowded city to start a new life. -
Interim
The people of earth come to Mars in large waves. They make it their own "America". Towns and villages begin to sprout building earthly things like cottages. -
The Musicians
Young Boys go hiking on mars. They play instruments with the bones of dead martians. The boys must be quick because the "firemen" are coming to burn the martian corpses. -
Way in the middle of the air
Samuel teece and his friends sit on a porch talking about how black people are coming to mars. He is a racist and when a man owes him money the black community raises money to pay off the manś debt. -
The naming of names
Spender was right, the people of Mars begin to name mars. More and more people come to mars including poloticians and beuracrats. -
Usher 2
William Stendahl comes to mars to open a haunted house because horror and fantsasy was banne on earth. The people that banned horror on earth are coming to mars. Mr. garrett, an inspector come to the haunted house and wants it torn down. One of the robot apes in the haunted house kills Mr. garrett before he can tell anyone. Stendahl invites many of the people that banned horror on earth to his haunted house, they all end up dying in odd ways and stendahl flees away. -
The Martian
An old couple come to mars to forget about their dead son Tom. But things change when Tom shows up to mars as his same 14 year old self when he died. Tom is actually a telepathic martian who changes his appearance when he encounters different people. The town swarms tom and he can't handle trying to be the person they all want, driving him insane and then he dies. -
The Luggage Store
Father Pentergrine goes to a Luggage store and speaks with the owner about the war brewing on earth. The owner says people will go back to earth because it is still their home. He continues to keep hsi store open because he beeieves that when the war starts people will go back to earth. -
The Off Season
Sam parkill has hopes of starting a hot dog stand. The last few martians on Mars are trying to tell him something but he wants nothing to do with it. He kills one martian and tries to outrun the others but he can't. They tell him they are giving the other half of mars which will make him extremely wealthy, but the nuclear war on earth starts that nights which ruins all of Sam's dreams. -
The Watchers
the people on mars come out at night to look at the war going on, on earth. They can see explosions from mars. All the people on mars decide to go hoe because they want to be with family. -
The Silent towns
Walter Gripp is the last man on mars until Genevieve Selsor calls him. Walter is excited to meet his dream girl so hes not so lonely. But it turns out that Genevieve is the most annoying person ever that only wants to watch the sam movie over and over again.One she brings out a wedding dress and wants to get married he gets in his truck and drives off. -
The Long Years
Dr. Hathaway lives on mars with his family. One day Captain Wilder lands back on mars with his rocket. He notices that something is weird about Hathaway's family becaus they looked like thy havnt changed at all. As Wilder and his mn go looking around they find the tombstones of Hathaway's real family. Hathaway dies and his robot wife wants to bury him next to his real family. -
Ther will come soft rains
In California, an automated house goes about its daily schedule. All of the earth is destryoed and no humans seems to be left. The only thing that remains of the residents of the automated house is their shadows from after the explosion. A fire happens around the house but the house is unable to contain it so it burns down. -
The Million Year Picnic
Timothy along with his family are on mars for "vacation'. But he knows something is up. his dad is sad because of the war happening on earth. But his dad brought them to Mars to live there. His dad says that another family may be joining them and they have 4 daughters. His dad then blows up the rocket and takes them to canal where they can all see their relection.
