    It is June 27th and it is a nice day in the village. The kids are out of school and the people start to gather for the event. As people slowly start to gather, the kids begin to start to collect stones.

    The lottery is led by Mr. Summers and the event starts to begin. The man of the family households get their names drawn from the black box to see which family is selected.

    All the papers chosen were opened up. Mr. Hutchinson's slip of paper was the chosen one.

    Falling action
    Mr. Hutchinson, Bill Jr, Nancy, Dave, and Tessie draw slips out of the box again as a family. One by one the family members open their slit and then Bill went over to open Tessie's. When he opened her paper, he seen the black spot.

    Resolution
    The crowd starts to get ready for the stoning of the ritual. Everybody gathers their stones as Tessie is now centered in empty space. The stoning begins.
