His Birthday
Scotty McCreery was born on October 9th, 1993 which would make his twenty one this year. His full name is Scott Cooke "Scotty" McCreery. He was born in Raleigh North Carolina, and his parents names are Judy and Micheal McCreery. Him and his sister Ashley were both raised in Garner, North Carolina. -
Early Life
Before Scotty was born his parents thought of naming him Evan, but they changed thier mind to Scott on thier way to the hospital. He is a quarter Puerto Rican, but he does not know any Spanish. He regrets not learning Spanish when he was younger. He has an older sister named Ashley -
First started playing guitar
When Scotty was about five or six years old his grandmother gave him a book about Elvis Presly, and Elvis was Scotty's earliest musical influenece. Scotty than started learning how to play guitar at the age of nine or ten. He would not be where he is today without Elvis Presly. -
First got started singing
When Scotty was in elementry school he attended Timber Drive Elementry school in Garner, in middle school he went to West Lake Middle School in Apex, and in high school he attended Garner Magnet High school, he also sang at his middle school. He participated in all three choirs, and when he wasa freshman he sang tenor, but when hewas a sophmore he started singing bass. While he was in high school he was awarded the award of Rookie of the year. He also won an award called the "Clayton Idol'. -

Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Adam Lambert, and Chris Daughtry are the people with Scotty that were on American Idol, won it, and than got number one on the Billboard 200. Scotty was the youngest male to ever get to the number one spot on the Billboard 200. His album Clear as DAy reached number one on five different billboard charts: Billboard 200, Top Current Albums, Digital Albums, Internet Albums, and Top Country Albums. -
American Idol
On May 25th, 2011 Scotty McCreery won the tenth season of American Idol. He has been singing music ever since then. Now he sings country music, and he plays guitar. -
First Tour
The performers in this tour were Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk, Stefano Langone, Pia Toscano, Thia Megia, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Casey Abrams, Paul McDonald, and Niama Adedapo. The tour ended on September 21st, 2011. They went to West Valley City, Everett, Portland, Sacramento, Oakland, San Jose, Los Angeles, Ontario, Phoenix, Oaklahoma City, Grand Prairie, Houston, New Orleans, Orlando, Duluth, Raleigh, Charolette, Nashville, St. Louis, Kansas City, and many many more cities. -
Before American Idol
When he was in high school Scotty was the pitcher for his high schools baseball team. He did not throw very hard and his best pitch was a curve ball and that was how he got people out a lot, he would not walk more than one or two people in a game. Before he had auditioned for American Idol he worked was a bagger at Lowes Foods in Garner. -
First Album
Scotty's first album was called Clear as Day. This album sold over 197,000 copies. There are tweleve songs on this album. -

After his first tour he went on three more tours, the second tour was called Virtual Reality World Tour, with Brad Paisley, and The Band Perry. The forth tour he went on was Weekend Roadtrip in Feburary 24th 2013, with Sarah Darling. The last tour that Scotty went on was See You Tonight Tour in 2014, with Danielle Bradbery. -

Scotty has been on four tours, the first one is American Idols LIVE! Tour 2011. The second one was Virtual Reality World Tour with Brad Paisley and The Band Perry. His third tour was Weekend Roadtrip Tour, with Sarah Darling. And his final tour was See You Tonight Tour with Danielle Bradbery. -
High School and College
Scotty graduated from Garner Mangent High school in 2012. Now he is attending Northern Carolina State University. Scotty is going to college trying to get his bachelor's degree in communications. -
Second Album
This is Scotty's second album, it is called Christmas with Scotty McCreery, and it has eleven songs on it. This album was placed number four on the Billboad 200, and than it was placed as gold on November 26th, 2012. It has nine holiday classics and two new holiday songs on the album. -
Gets Sued by Former Manager
Todd Cassetty was Scotty's former manager, and he sued Scotty when he was nineteen in Davidson County, Tennessee. Todd claimed that Scotty did not pay him for his servicces. Scotty told everybody that this was a bunch of lies and that Scotty has tried to pay Todd mulitple time but he has wanted a ton of money for only five months with Scotty. These two went to court and Scotty won the arguement. -
Third Alum
This album has sixteen songs on it and is called Scotty McCreery See You Tonight. See you tonight was his first song that reached top ten on the Billboard 200. He also wrote see you tonight with Ashley Gorley and Zach Crowell. -
Most Significant recent even in his life
The most recent significant thing that has happened in Scotty McCreery's life is he won the Artist of the Year: Breakthrough Artist. The nominees for this award were also Lee Brice, Hunter Hayes, Randy Houser, and Justin Moore. He was also nominated for Mainstream Country Male Artist, but he did not win that award.
