He was born in Brooklyn, New York. His parents were Deloris and James R. Jordan Sr. He moved to North Carolina when he was still a baby. He is the fourth f five children. -

He started college at the University od North Carolina. He played basketball for coach Dean Smith. He was the ACC freshmen of teh year. They won the national championship that year. -

He then signed a minor league baseball contract to the White Sox. He later said the he did it because of his father's dream to play Major League Baseball. -
His Return
He decided to quit baseball because of the strike that was going on. He then announced his return to the NBA. He did it through a two word press release, I'm Back. He played good even though he hadn't played basketball in a year and a half. -
Second Three Peat
He finished his second three peat and won his last championship. He was again voted the Finals MVP. He holds teh record for the most Final MVPs with six. -
Second Retirement
He announced his second retirement. After Dennis Rodman and Scottie Pippen left he decided to retire. He said that he was 99.9% sure that he would never play another NBA game again. -
The Second Comeback
Washington WizardsHe announced his comeback with the Washington Wizards. He was going to donate his salary as a player to the releif effort of the September 11 attack. He controlled all basketball operations for the Wizards. -
Third Retirement
He retired for his third and final time. He thought that he would return to the Wizards for a job as head of basketball operations but couldn't. He was then fired from the job. -
Owning the Bobcats
He bought a minority of the of the Charlotte Bobcats. He was the second largest shareholder of the Bobcats. He took full control of the Basketball Operations. -
Charlotte Bobcats
Charlotte BobcatsHe finalized a deal to buy the rest of teh Charlotte Bobcats. He became the first ever player to won a majority of a NBA team. He was alos the only African American majority owner. -
Charlotte Hornets
He filed papers to change the Bobcats name to the Hornets. They later approved the change. They claimed teh history adn record of teh original Hornets.
