The Birth of Jesus
Jesus was born of the virgin, Mary, just as the angels had foretold, in the city of Bethlehem. -
Jesus is Presented at the Temple
Mary and Joseph take Jesus to the temple to be presented to God, and Simeon and Anna rejoice as he is the Messiah. -
The Wisemen Visit
Three wisemen from the East arrive at Bethlehem after following a star and worship Jesus. -
The Escape to Egypt
Joseph, Mary, and Jesus flee to Egypt after an angel warns them that Herod will kill all baby boys under a certain age. -
Back to Nazareth
Mary and Joseph take Jesus back to Nazareth after they are informed it is safe to return. -
Jesus' First Passover
The family travels to Jerusalem to celebrate the ritual of Passover. While Mary and Joseph are leaving, unbeknownst to them Jesus is in the temple impressing the teachers of the law with his extensive knowledge of Scripture. -
The Baptism of Jesus
Jesus is baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist, who at first refused, claiming he was unworthy. As he came out of the water, a dove appeared and God's voice said from Heaven that Jesus is his son, and he is pleased with him. -
The Samaritan Woman and Nicodemus
Jesus speaks to both a Samaritan woman at a well, and Nicodemus, a member of the Sanhedron, and tells them both that he is the Savior. -
The Temptation
Jesus is tepted by the devil in the wilderness, but Jesus casts him away by using Scripture. -
The Death of Jesus
Jesus dies on a cross on Good Friday to save everyone from their sins. -
The Resurrection
Jesus rises from the dead on Easter Sunday, just as the Scriptures told, conquering death for all eternity. -
Ascending into Heaven
Jesus ascends into heaven, returning to his place at the right hand of God the Father.
