Jessie was born and raised in London to Rose and Stephen Cornish, with two older sisters. -
Troubles of her life
Jessie was hospitalized at age 11 due to irregular heart beat, she then went on medication whihc turned her skin, into a green like color. This caused her much grief and hardship, a few years later she had a seizure at age 18. Over the years she went through many hard times but she refused to allow it to ruin her chances of becoming a singer. Jessie showed that sometimes using your music to help heal others, and help them know that there are others who can relate.(1) -
SNL Appearance
Jessie had a debut duet with rapper, B.O.B in which she perfomed her hit song "Price Tag" In order to have the most succesful duet you ned the right partner to corespond with the nother artist, described my Jocelyn Vena. (7). Which in this case with Jessie, B.O.B was the perfect guy for her. -
First Award
Jessie attended the MOBO awards in which she won the "Best Newcomer" Award. Humbleness and act of gracefulness and follwing your dreams without giving up is what helps you to sucess (6). And many know Jessie has had issues with bullying and such and chose to not let it control her future. -
Guest Appearance on Beano Cartoon
Jessie is very well known for making the craziest facial expression, which made her debut appearance as a bueno cartoon which immitated her expressions. "Crazy facial expression described by Laura Martin sometimes can lead to imitations and funny jokes " (3). -
Best Female Act Awards
On October 20th 2014 Jessie won the "Best Female Award on the MOBO award show. Being thankful and graceful is one of the best and most valued quality a person shall have. (5) -
Ridiculed & judged
In interviews, Jessie described herself as one of the greatest singers, This small statement caused judgement. People felt as tbough she was boasting and bragging about hersekf, She felt like this due to how she is more known in the United States unlike the UK, Sometimes one having confidence in themselves can cause other think of it as one being concieded (9).
