    Over time, tensions built up between the conquistadors who had originally conquered Peru.As a result, conquistadors were torn into two factions, one run by Pizarro, and the other run by Diego Almagro.Almagro engeged Pizarro and his brothers in the battle of Las Salinas, the Pizarro brothers had won the war, and in 1538 Hernado Pizarro captured and executed Almagro.
