While Ned was on his way to school he saved Richard Shelton from drowning in a heavy flow river putting his own life at risk.Ned was rewarded with a green, silky sash from the Shelton family.He wore that sash with pride.Rumour has it that he even wore it at the Glenrowan battle. -
The death of Ned Kelly's father
John Kelly also known as Red, died an alcoholic when Ned was just 12. It was a hard life for Ned and his family after his fathers death, but Ned was strong and he did his best. -
Ned gets arrested for the first time.
At the age of 14 years old Ned got arrested for the first time.
He assaulted a chinese pig farmer ,some believe his name was Ah Fook. After spending 2 weeks in jail ,Ned got discharged. -

Harry was a bushranger.He stole and he sold illegal things.
Harry Power wasn't a nice person .He had a heap of criminal records. -

Ned Kelly, at a very young age Ned Kelly became a bushrangers apprentice.Harry power was this bushrangers name.Harry taught alot of survival skills for the bushes.Ned was very grateful to Harry for teaching him those lessons. -
Ned gets jailed for recieving a stolen horse.
Ned Kelly gets arrested for recieving a stolen horse.
Some believe Ned's uncle gave him that horse without letting him that it was stolen.Ned fights the police ,which only sentenced him to jail for longer.He was sentenced to jail fo 3 years. -
Ellen Kelly marries again.
Ellen Kelly marries again.She married an American called George King . Mr.King wasn't like a father to the Kelly kids.He was more of a teacher,he taught them discipline. -
The 'Fitzpatrick Affair'
On this day Constable Alexander Fitzpatrick enterted the Kelly household to arrest Dan Kelly without a warrant.
Unfortunately ,Dan was not home.Not long after Constable Fitzpatrick arrived, Dan and Ned arrived home.Ned and Dan hit Constable Fitzpatrick in the head after he had threatened to shoot them.Constable Fitzpatrick took this inccident to court.He claimed that the Kelly boy tried kill him. -
Ellen Kelly is sentenced to jail.
On this day Ellen Kelly was sentenced to 3 years of jail and hard labour.She was sentenced to jail because Constable Fitzpatrick claimed that she tried to kill him.It was unfair and injust for Constable Fitzpatrick to do so.Constable Fitzpatrick's lie is one of the main reasons why Ned became an outlaw. -
Ned goes into hiding.
On this day,Ned Kelly, Dan Kelly and thier mates Joe Byrne and Steve Hart became bushranger outlaws.They stole horses,cattles and many more things.Ned tried everything to prove he was good but the police didn't let him.So, I believe that it is not exactly Neds fault for being an outlaw. -
The 'Kelly Gang' began.
Ned,Dan and their mates Joe and Steve form the Kelly Gang.
It all starts when Ned finds out that there are police hunting them down.They find the police and they get into action.They asked the police to surrender but they didn't.So,Ned and the gang had no chance but to save themselves.They shot 3 police officers dead but 1 escaped. -
Ned's trial
Ned Kelly was sentenced to death by Sir Barry Redmond.
He was sentenced to death for murder and theft. -

This is a very shocking video.But thats the way Ned Kelly had to live.His dreams of people knowing that he had good heart didn't exactly come true when he wanted it,but it has come true now years and years later .People now know that Ned Kelly did what he had to,to survive.Ned was only 25 years of age when his life came to an end .Ned Kelly's last words were 'such is life'.
