    edgars father, David Poe, dserts Elizabeth with three kids. Shortly after Poes sister is born, Rosaline Poe. To make things worse Edgars mother soon falls ill with T.B.

    poes mother dies of T.B., and soon after his father dies of the same thing. with no where to go Edgar, Rosaline, and Henry are split up and put with foster parents. Edgar adopts his foster parents name as his middle name, Edgar Allan Poe.
