Betsie, her sister, died
while Corrie and her sister were imprisoned they encouraged the other prisoners by reading them the bible. They read until the day Betsie died.

Released from Death Camp
Because of a clerical order, Corrie was released from Ravensbruck. She was released one week before every woman her age were executed. She was released just 12 days after her sister died.
