Nullification Act
Congress passed a law in 1828 , that raised the national tariff , but southerners didn't agree with this which caused protests and a nullification because it would hurt the economy of the South , this lead to Andrew Jackson vowing to uphold the law and using the power of the federal government if necessary , thusly make the south accept a lower tariff -
Bank War
In 1832 , Jackson vetoed the renewal of the banks charter declaring war on the bank of the U.S which he thought was trying to kill him which lead to Jackson deciding to kill the bank by vetoing the bill and calling it unconstitutional
