- Amir regret asking Baba about getting new servant. -
Baba & Amir fled Kabul
Afghanistan during Taliban Reign Video- Amir & Baba fled to Jalalabad, Peshwar, Pakistan, then lastly America.
-Amir & Baba buys a Volkswagon bus to go to flea markets.
-Amir & Baba gets closer in America than tey were in Afghanistan. -
Amir & Baba arrive in Fremont, CA

-“That summer of 1983, I graduated from high school at the age of twenty, by far the oldest senior tossing his mortarboard on the football field that day.” pg. 131
-“The following summer, the summer of 1984 – the summer I turned twenty-one – Baba sold his Buick and bought a dilapidated ’71 Volkswagen bus for $550 from an old Afghan acquaintance who’d been a high-school science teacher in Kabul.” pg. 137
-This was the year Baba and Amir began going to the flea market. -
Amir meets Soraya
-Amir speaks to Soraya for the first time without her father present at the flea market.
-Soraya and Amir small talk is about Amir and his writings. "Would you like to read one of my stories?" pg. 147 "I would like that"
- Amir is not allowed in their tradition to make conversations with girls without doing it in their traditional manner. -
The Summer of 1985: Baba
-Baba is told he has cancer.
-After Baba goes to the doctor, he finds out that he has cancer. "Oat Cell Carcinoma." pg. 156
-The doctor suggest chemotherapy and Baba refuses. -
Amir gets a phone call
-Amir gets a phone call from Rahim Khan saying he wants to see him. Also, that "there is a way to be good again."
-Amir explains to Soraya that he needs to go but does not know how long he will be gone.
-Amir goes back to his country which he fled to forget about his problems. -
The Big Secret revealed
-Amir landed in Peshwar where he visited Rahim Khan. Rahim gave Amir letters written by Hassan throughout the years. It states that he got married and had a child named Sohrab.
-Amir finds out that Hassan and his wife was killed by the Talibans, which leds to Sohrab going into an orphanage.
-Amir finds out Hassan is his half brother. Baba had an affair. -
The Redemption
-Over the time period of finding Sohrab, Amir finds out that he had been sold to Talibans by the Orphanage.
- Amir goes to a stadium to meet that Taliban who brought Sohrab.
- The Taliban's who brought Sohrab turns out to be Assef. -
Sohrab attempts Suicide
Orphange video- Amir rescues Sohrab, Promises Sohrab wouldnt go to another orphange.
- Amir wants to adopt Sohrab but long process, turns out that Sohrab has to go to a orphanage for a while.
