Jayavarman II set the Cambodian people free from Java ( an unknown location ) bringing them together and unifying them as a nation, essentially starting the whole Khmer Empire -

Suryavarman II killed his uncle in order to gain leadership and rise as a god king in the eyes of his people. He was young and looked to the gods for guidance most importantly he worshipped the Hindu god Vishnu. -
