In 2008, a former marketing executive of So So Def Recordings was searching the internet for a new potential singer. He saw the popular videos of 12 year-old Justin and was immediately impressed. He tracked down the 13-year old Justin and brought him to Atlanta, Georgia where he signed a joint record deal with Usher. In May, he released his first single " One Time" which was a huge success. -

Trouble With the Law
On January 23, 2014, Justin was arrested and charged with a DUI. Police also found drugs and prescription drugs in his car. Shortly after his arrest, thousands of people petitioned to have him deported back to Canada. Later that year, Justin was arrested again after being involved in a car accident near his hometown. -

Currently, Justin is on his " Purpose" world tour. He is set to end on the 29th of November. In addition to his world tour, Justin has done 2 collaborations. Both have been extremely popular. Currently his song with DJ Snake " Let Me Love You" is fourth of the U.S. billboard and his song " Cold Water" with Major Lazer is twelfth. -
Purpose Album
Justin's latest album was released about a year ago. The inspiration for this album was said to be Justin's test of faith throughout challenging mental health issues and run-ins with the law. Within a week, three of the singles from the album were the top 3 on the U.S. Billboard and number 1 in eleven other countries. It sold a half million copies in the first week.
