The Inca tribe was created around 1200. It started when the first Incan, Manco Capac, settled in Cusco. Manco was probably honored by the Incans after that.

Waaay back In 1438. Incan ruler Pachacuti began to conquer the land. he was known for building one of the largest, and tightly controlled, empires.

In 1471, Topa Inca Yupanqui ascended to the throne in place of Pachacuti. Soon after, he extended the empire´s southern border to the Maule river. Allowing the Incas to access the river more easily.

In the year 1510, the Incans abandoned Machu Picchu. Why? No one knows. Could have been to find food, could have been something else, we may never know!

Around the year 1525, a civil war broke out. The reason? Spanish explorers brought diseases over which killed a huge chunk of Incans along with their current leader Huayna Capac and his successor. and the Incans DID NOT like that

1529: The queen of Spain approved an army to conquer a different Incan city. This caused a different civil war to break out. And that did a number on the Incas

In 1532, an army led by a man named Francisco Pizarro arrived in Cajamarca. Another day went by, and he met Atahualpa. The last Incan Leader.

In Late 1533, The Spanish Placed their own leader to replace Atahualpa. Did this leader help the Incan tribe last longer? No, he didn´t

August 29, 1533, this was the date of when the last Incan ruler was executed. And as you might have guessed, this Incan was Atahualpa, and he was executed for crimes against the Spanish state. (not swearing loyalty to the pope, and he threw the bible on the floor.)
