    Esperanza was raped by a group of guys. She is mad at Sally because she didn't show up and because she lied to her about those stuff.

    Esperanza met 3 older sisters. They told her to come back for others when she leaves (the Mango Street).

    Esperanza wants to have her own house. She wants to be free. She promised to come back for the ones who can't leave.
