A Belgian physicist, Joseph Plateau & his son intoduced the phenakitsoscope. It was used ny Spinning the disk attached vertically to handle. The user would spin the disk & you would have to look inside it to see the images. -
Zoetrope
Invented by william Horner.This device did not require a mirro to be used. It was a cylinder with slits in the sides and spined. To see the images you need to see the slits. -

mathew Brady well known for taking pictures of war took photography. -
Pranixscope
Made by Charels-E Mile Raynaud. It was an improved Zoetrope that replaced the slits with mirrors. It was used like a projector. -
