It was a law forbidding English colonists to settle west fo the Appalachian Mountains. Therefore keeping peace with the Natives that lived there. -

Was a document written by Thomas Jefferson, declaring the colonies independent from England. -
Battle of Saratoga
An American Victory, this renewed the hopes of the soldiers. This crucial win was the turning point of American Revolution. -
Articles of Confederation
Was the first American constitution. But it was a very weak document that limited the power of Congress by giving states the final authority over all decisions. -
Valley Forge
Beginning of the time spent in Valley Forge. From 1777-1778. Washington's army spent the winter of 1777-1778 in the Valley while fighting the harsh cold, disease, and food shortages. -
Battle of Yorktown
Last battle of American Revolution, an American victory of course. :) -
Treaty of Paris 1783
It was the document signed in Paris, France that officially ended the Revolution. -
Constitutional Convention
Beginning date of constitutional convention. It toook place in the State House of Philidelphia. As Washington the head, a group of men decided on the rules of the new country with care, patience, and order. All of the people who came to help came from all across the different states. -
