    August 12, 1981- The first IBM PC(personal computer) ran on a very new and high-tech microprocessor(at the time). The PC came with 16 kilobytes of memory, able to expand to 256 kilobytes of memory. The PC came with one or two 160 kilobyte floppy drives and optional color monitor.

    November 10,1983- Microsoft Windows was a new system that was a very user-friendly graphical interface to operate the computer. It also allowed users to multitask.

    2013- There are many new features that Microsoft Windows 8 introduces. There is a jump list, where it shows 10 of the most recently used programs, allowing you to click on a web page without actually opening it. The security is also “heavier”, and a message that pops up whenever a program that is unfamiliar to the computer is opened. These are just a few new qualities Microsoft Windows 8.
  • The Future Computer

    I think computers in the future will be voice-activated, and you can just call out the name of the website you want to open. The computer will then “command” the website to open, therefore saving the user time. Also, if the user wants to do something on the computer, like create a new account on a website, and has paper instructions, they can just insert the paper into the computer, and the computer will sign in for them. This is what I think the future computer will be like.
