The History of Tal'Lacria

  • 2662 BCE

Creation of the Prime Material Plane

The Allgods formed the Prime Material Plane as the basis for all other Material Planes. They deemed it perfect; a place they envisioned all creatures could live in paradise and unity. The Allgods were as ignorant as they were powerful.
  • 1808 BCE

    The "All-gods" War - Ends 1704 BCE

The Allgods had allowed the lesser gods to freely roam the Prime Material Plane as well. This led many to abuse their power as gods and form churches and factions surrounding them, opposing all others who deemed themselves stronger than said faction. This led to a war between the mortals and gods to decide the true strongest god of this Material Plane. The Allgods were disgusted that their paradise turned into suffering and revoked the power of gods on this plane.
  • 1500 BCE

    Creation of the Allgod Orbs

A power vacuum remained when the lesser gods were stripped of their direct influence on the Prime Material Plane. To fix this, the Allgods assigned the mortals 3 powerful orbs to grant them their own abilities in the wake of this vacuum. These included: The Orb of Arcane (orange), the Orb of Enchancement (white), and the Orb of Order (light blue).
  • 1500 BCE

Introduction of the Trium of the Afterlife

Gods of life, death, and in-between no longer had a place within the Prime Material Plane after the war. In place of this, the Allgods appointed 3 beings capable of guiding souls into existence, into the afterlife, and out of existence. These figures were Vita, Duskmaven, and ------- respectively.

The Trium of Death Succeeds - End of BCE

Death retaliates against the world. The reason is unclear. She seeks the Allgod Orbs and attempts to destroy the Prime Material Plane. Only one group stands up to her, known as The Outlanders. Unfortunately, they cannot succeed in stopping her. Death had obtained the Orb of Arcane and ended the world.

Era of Absence - Beginning of CE

There is no knowledge of how long the world was dark. It is theorized that benevolent lesser gods had returned out of sorrow for the abandoned Prime Material Plane and procreated to start life again. This would explain the increased potency of magic and the ratio of magic wielders to those who couldn't, compared to the prehistoric era. Life began again, and the Common Era started.
  • 289

Creation of the Lake of Rage

A mysterious power collapsed the town of Slauross after a magical barrier protected a large section of land from a massive explosion set off around its perimeter. Water flooded the crater around this now-island and created the largest lake in Kavenum titled the Lake of Rage.

    The Everglacier Event

One of the Allgod Orbs was rediscovered: the Orb of Enhancement. The only knowledge of this event was told by Seeker, a powerful heroine at the time. She retells the event reluctantly, but she was there for its creation. A frost-sorceress threatened Tal'Lacria with the orb. Seeker drove the sorceress to desperation, prompting her to destroy the orb with her own magic. The orb burst with the same magic that destroyed it and cast the land into an eternal winter.

    The Coinskin Dragons Event

The heroine known as Seeker and a faction known as the Drake Wardens attempted to thwart the terrifying Platinum Dragon from ravaging the land. With its skin being almost impenetrable, they sought the help of the Coinskin Trio -- three dragons that each had gold, silver, and copper scales respectively, who were rumored to be a part of the Platinum Dragon at one point. The battle was devastating, but eventually, the Platinum Dragon was defeated. This battle cost Seeker her life, unfortunately.

    Creation of Windrip

The Orb of Order was rediscovered. While on a rescue mission for missing people, Gyrin Crownfeather, a feathern, came across the orb alongside his party within a cave in east Kavenum. The retrieval of the Orb of Order resulted in it shattering when it was dropped while escaping newly awoken frost giants. The force of gravity that shattered the orb is the force that it burst into, pulling the land from the ground and creating the sky island that Gyrin would make the city of Windrip.

    The Prognostic vs. Death

Death has returned from an unknown hiatus. Once again, she sought the Allgod Orbs for unknown reasons. The Orb of Arcane belonged to the king of Edgefall in Kavenum, which she raided and stole. The Prognostic, a famed adventuring group, were nearby and cased her as she fled with the orb. Their fight led them to the Withering Peak, where they fought alongside King Ashen for control of the orb.

    Westrait Implodes (07/08/645)

Similar to the explosion that caused the creation of the Lake of Rage, Westrait had an explosion set off underneath it, causing most of the region to collapse in on itself. The reason or motives are unknown, but the similarities to the Lake of Rage and the severity of the tragedy have caused panic to nearby regions.
