Was intended to be a medium-high altitude interceptor but became a low altitude interceptor as it was the only RAF plane able to catch the Focke-Wulf Fw 190.

Hawker Siddeley Harrier
Very unique as it was the first jet that could vertically take off. It did this by directing its jet engines down.
