    Was an itialian inventor who was credited with receiving the first radio signal, which was in esscence the day radio broadcast was invented.

    In 1906 Lee De Forest created the audion tube which amplified the radio signals and allowed for a longer distance transmissions. Although he did no tcome up with the idea he is credited with the patend.

    Marconi's concept was sold to the marine industry because thanks to the radio now there could be communication with land. They where able to transmit a distress signal to others.

    One of the first radio stations broadcasted publicly is KDKA, it was started by Frank conrad and still broadcasts today from pensylvania.

    Everyone wanted their own radio station and eventuallly there where way too many stations so the FRC was formed in order to better organize all of these stations.It asigned frequencies call letters, power limits, etc. It is now known as the FCC
