The Start of the Han River
The Kingdom of Baekje was the first to claim Hangang. The kingdoms wanted the Han River due to its strategic significance as a waterway linking with the Yellow Sea. They continued their tug-of-war over the River until they all became "Unified Silla". -

The Lee Myung Bak administration decided to connect the Yellow Sea with the Han River in Seoul. The project was finished in 2012, which constructed the Ara Canal. -
