Eastman Dry Plate Factory
American entrepreneur, George Eastman starts to commercially manufacture dry plates for photography in 1880. In 1881, he founded the Eastman Dry Plate Factory. This aided making photography mainstream by popularizing roll film. -
The Chronophotographic Gun
Etienne-Jules Marey was a photographer that invented the chronophotographic gun in 1882. This rifle-shaped camera was able to take 12 pictures in a second. Marey used the camera to study many different animals.
