Eadweard Muybridge made a bet with his friends that a one point that a horse's feet are off the ground at the same time. His friends took his bet and told him to prove it. Muybridge set up cameras to take pictures of the horse when it ran by. He won the bet but when they look at the opictures fat they realized it look like the horse was moving. -
