    Frenchman Louis Le Prince was a pioneer in cinematography. Prince created a single lens camera that shot sequences of moving pictures on paper film.

    Thomas Edison created a way of viewing images in quick succession, even though he could make a much better version this way made more money. The Parlor was made for independent viewing and could not support an audience.
