It is a crime drama and highlights how adolesents can live up to peoples stereotypes due to the way that people think about them. directed by François Truffaut. the audience is given an insight in to the lives of these teenagers and it highlights issues within socety at the time.

    The story of a collage graduate who is torn between his older lover and her daughter. This is a very contraversial film for the time. directed by Mike Nichols.
  • Grease

    The story between two people who fall in love over the summer but struggle to continue their relationship when they find out that they now attend the same high school. The clothes are typical for the time and are vital as they show the difference between social groups at the time. I liked this film as it demonstrates the typical story line of a romantic film, but emotuions are shown through the songs.

Despite their differences they all end up accepting eachother for who they are and find out they have a lot more in common than they realise. Aimed at young adult, to try and get them to understand how everyone is unique, but still the same as everyone else. The film fits multiple genres as it has elements of comedy, drama and romance. This is the most classic coming of age film, directed by John Hughes.

It is also puts a comical twist on truenting, which is frowned upon in society. The genre of the film is classic for a coming of age film, as it relates to the audiences life in a comical way.     Cher is your typical rich white girl, who must surrive the ups and downs of adolesnt life. At first she seems superficial, but it hides her wit, charm, and intelligence that helps her to deal with relationships, friends, family, school, and the all-important teenage social life. I like this film as it takes a stereotype and turns it into a good thing. The characters are relatable as people know simalar people in their own lives. they also where clothes that were considered fahionable at the time

    Will Hunting has a gift for problems, but need psychological assistance with his home life, due to a troubled childhood. he stuggles to live in this world until he meets his solemate and has a good friend to confide in. Will's background defines him as he doesnt go to uni but works as a janitor in one, overcoming social bondaries. I like the characters Will and Sean because it shows a touching relationship. Genre is untypical of coming of age films as it is dramatic rather than comedic.

It follows him as he falls face first to confront life, love, and lingo. The characteras are typical for the film and demonstrates how poeple are sucked into fame.

    A teenager is about to start her first day of school and is persuaded to join the "plastics", the mean girls of the school and is told to get revenge for the mean things they've done. But will she end up joing them? I enjoyed this film as it highlights a big issue within schools and portays it in a comical way. The clothes highlight social groups within the film and what is normal for the time. The audience can relate with the film as many people will have experianced similar events.

    About a troubled boy growing up in England, set in 1983. He comes across a few skinheads on his way home from school, after a fight. They become his new best friends even like family. Based on experiences of director Shane Meadows.

    Faced with an unplanned pregnancy, an offbeat young woman makes an unusual decision regarding her unborn child. Issues within the film are relevnt today and shows how society feels about them. The clothing in the film shows how Juno comes from a different world to the adoptive parents and her social ranking. The comical spin on the film is why I like it so much, as it makes people feel comfortable talking about teenage pregancy. I also like the choice of actors, as they suit the characters

    Mike's life didn't quite turn out how he wanted it to and wishes he could go back to high school and change it. He wakes up one day and is 17 again and gets the chance to rewrite his life. There is a huge change of charcters in the film as it begins with him at 17, an adult, back to 17, back to adult again. howveer you get to see the development of Mike though out the film and how he tries to balence his 17 year old self and the adult hes suposed tro be. This realtes to both adults and kids.

    Olive tells a white lie about how she lost her virginity, which is then spread around the school. A clean cut high school girl sees her life in "The Scarlet Letter," which she is currently studying in school - but decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing. I like this film as it puts a comical spin on a serious issue about rumers. clothing is important in the film as it shows how she goes from a nobody to school (pretend) slut. this shows how people view her.
