    6 million jews died during WWII 1 and a half million where children.

    Hitler invades Poland where 3.3 million Jews live.

    Lola is free to walk a round the market place with her mother The Russian soldiers arrive.

    Lola is six and a half and is going to nursery school and her father's cousins house. There are about a dozen other kids.

    It was a Sunday, the Germans arrive in town marching with guns and tanks, wearing googles, tall black boots, and leather jackets.

    The first "action" comes, for Germans it means a day set aside for rounding up huge number of Jews and sending them by train to the concentration camps. Lola, her mother, and her grandmother hide in a narrow space between a storage area wall and a wall of another apartment building next door.

    Purim, is a Jewish holiday. Lola's mother, a cousin, and two other women were killed by a German soldier enacting revenge for another German soldier going into his territory and "shooting his Jews."

    A few months after Lola's mother is killed, Babcia takes Lola aside right before bed, explaining she will be sneaking out the ghetto that night.

    Tekla's son-in-law works in the fields even though it is still windy and cold. Lola was always scared of him.
  • The Last "action"

    The last action happened, and Babcia was killed.

    a couple of months after Lola got to the house, a man and a woman came into Lola's room. To survive she hides her accent by pretending to be a deaf-mute. The next day Tekla takes her to Anna where she is put in a six by six-foot hole with 3 others.

    Just after the new year, Anna tells Lola and the Others that the Germans are losing the war and retreating.

    Lola and the others hear fighting nearby. They can hear the tanks rumbling and the crack of gunfire, to Lola this is a wonderful sound.

    A morning in March, anna tells Lola and them that they are Liberated by the Russians. They finally leave the hole they have been in for nine months.

    Rose kicks out Lola out and makes her follow the crowd out of Czortkow. Lola is 9 and a half.

    Lola has to beg for food just to live.
  • April 12th, 1944

    A Russian soldier has to drop Lola off in a small town of Grisev. He explains to the mayor tht he was taking Lola to the Orphanage in Kev but his plans have been changed and he has to go back from where he came. Sergi, a man at city hall offers to take Lola.

    American and British soldiers land on the beaches of Normady, France and begin to push the germans westward, while the Russians are pushing them eastward.

    Lola turns 10 in Sergie's house.

    Germany surrenders, known as Victory in Europe day

    Poles and Ukrainians are still killing jews.

    America drops 2 atomic bombs on japan.

    Lola is reunited with her Uncle in Krakow, though she knows it is an emotional moment she has no feelings towards it

    Uncle Isaac shows up in Krakow not long after they pack up and move Lola liked Krakow.

    Lola, Uncle George, Uncle Georges family, and Uncle Itch are moving from country to country, trying to escape prosucution

    Lola finds herself in a displaced persons camp run by the UN. Lola tries to go to Isreal because she doesn't want to go to America.

    Lola goes to Brighten Beach where she meets her husband.
    He is 11 years older and from poland too.

    Lola gets clearance to travel to America. Uncle George and his family got clearance the year prior but they waited for Lola.

    Lola starts and drops out of highschool so she can work full time.
  • September 1950

    Lola graduates at 16 with her comptimeter operator certificate. She starts working at Saks 34th Street. She starts and again drops out of night school.

    Lola goes to brighton beach where she meets her future husband. he is 11 years older and also from poland

    Lola and walter get married. Lola goes back to school and gets her high school diploma

    Lolas second child is born. Micheal Jay in named after both of their dads. Walter goes to school to be a fashion designer. They moved to a nice house in the suburbs of long island

    Lola is 28 years old. The NYT posts an article about a German man, Kurt Kolner. He was sentenced to 9 life sentences for each of the 9 women he killed. including lolas mom.

    Lola gives birth to her third Jeffery Scott named after her grand father and uncle who did not make it out of the war
  • Memorial day weekend 1991

    After 50 years she finally gets a interveiw for a book on hidden children. She finally cried.
  • November 21st, 1994

    Anna, the non-jew who saved lola is reconized as one of the "righteous"

    Janes book on Lola is published.

    Lola recieves a letter from the United states Holocaust museum asking for artifacts from the war. She gives them her dress

    Lolas dress travels to different states and cities. where she publicly speaks about her experiances.
