Bullied
The Walls family moves to California and Jeannette starts going to school, although she is excited to learn, she stars getting bullied by girls in her class, this eventually stops. -
Rose Mary Walls
Jeannette’s mother Rose Mary struggles with bi-polar disorder and depression, after Rex loses his job, Mary attempts suicide by jumping out of a window. Mary’s children stop her and she soon begins teaching at a school. -
Grandma Smith
Jeannette’s grandmother on her mom’s side of the family passes away while living in Phoenix, Arizona. Mary Rose inherits money from her and the family moves back to Phoenix. After they receive this money Lori gets some new glasses and the rest of the children get bicycles, the mom hid the money from the rest of the family. -
Erma Walls
After the Walls family moves in with Rex’s mother, Erma, in Texas, she becomes sexually abusive towards Brian until Jeannette and Lori stop her. This event made the Walls children wonder if Erma did this to their father, Rex, throughout his childhood. -
New York
After Jeannette finishes her junior year of high school, Lore and Jeannette moved to New York, she worked at a newspaper company and started going to college. Jeannette and Lori soon became homeless. -
Marriage
After Jeannette finishes college she is a successful journalist and gets married, Brian becomes a police officer, and Maureen moves in with her parents. -
Rex Walls
Shortly after Jeannette gets married Rex dies of a heart attack. Jeannette decides to remarry. -
