    Virginia sent a young militia officer, George Washington, to build a fort. This fort was located along the Ohio River Valley. When he realized that the French had already built a fort, he quickly named it Fort Necessity. When the French realized that he had named the fort, they forced Washington to surrender.

    The Albany Plan of Union was Ben Franklin's idea. This idea was for New England, New York, Maryland, and Pennsylvania to unite. This was very important because it was the first idea for the countries to unite together. Ben Franklin got this idea from the Iroquois.

    Washingtion was a British General. Virginia had sent him to go and claim Fort Niagara. He was not sucessful in this action, and the French forced him to surrender.

    Fort Duquesne was a French Fort. Fort Duquesne is located along the Ohio River Valley. One of the first big battles took place here. Washington retreated and Edward Braddock died. The French ended up wininng.

    William Johnson won the battle at Lake George. This battle was important because Johnson faught with the Iroquois and the colonists.

    William Pitt was English and a Foreign Minister. He came up with new stratagies to turn the war around for the English. In the end, he was sucessful in his actions.

    Louisbourg was a French fort. It was the fort before Fort Quebec and was located out on the ocean.

    Fort Niagara was a French fort. This fort is important because it controls Niagara Falls. The British won the battle at this fort. This means that the British now had control over the Great Lakes.

    Britain Captures Quebec
    Quebec was a French Fort. At this fort, there was a huge battle and it ended the war. General Montcalm and General Wolfe both die. In the end, the British won. The British then cut off the supplies to all of New France.
  • Treaty of Paris

    The Treaty of Paris officially ends the war. England gained all land west of the Mississippi River and Spain won all land east of the Mississippi River. On the other hand, the French lost all of North America.
  • Pontiac's Rebellion

    Pontiac's Rebellion
    Pontiac's Rebellion started in August of 1763. Pontiac's Rebellion was located near the Great Lakes. This event ended in 1766.
