William Johnson with his force of 1500 troops and Indains fought a series of small skirmishes with the French. Although each side had many casualties, the French suffered a greater lose. -
Declaration of War
The British declared war on the French and the French declared war on the British. -
Fort William Henry
The commander of French forces, Louis-Joseph de Montcalm takes Fort Henry. -
Fort Ticonderoga
The French took Fort Ticonderoga. The British attacked them and nearly lost a third of the men. This was unsuccessful. -
Battle for Quebec
With Montcalm leading the French and Wolfe leading the British, the British won, barely. Both Montcalm and Wolfe were killed in battle. -
Montreal
Montreal falls to the British, letters are signed, finishing the surrender of Canada. -
Functional end of the War
The British flag is raised over Detroit, effectively ending the war. -
Newfoundland
French's attempt to retake Newfoundland fails. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris was signed kicking the French out of North America. This gave the British the French's land east of the Mississippi exept for New Orleans. This also gave the Spanish all French land west of the Mississippi.
