Before the first fleet, Australians were peaceful and worked with the land. When the First Fleet arrived everything started to change, the Europeans started to take over. In england before the First Fleet set off to Australia, lots of people were poor and had to steal to survive.

The first fleet left Brazil to go to Australia to take the convicts so the jails wouldn't be so full. 11 ships made their team. 2 were war ships to protect them, 3 were supply ships and the other 6 carried the convicts. The names of the ships were: Alexander, Borrow Dale, Charlotte, Fishburn, Friendship, Golden Grove, HMS sirius, HMS supply, Lady Penrhyn, Prince of Wales and the Scarborough.
