    The first fleet
    The first fleet arrived on January 18th 1788. The captain of the fleet was captain James Cook. After their long journey they finally arrived in Botany Bay NSW. The first fleet traveled here because over in England all of the gaols were full of convicts, they traveled here to build more gaols and prisons. The first fleet traveled in eleven ships to get here.
