After a debate on July 2, they adopted the Declaration, resulting in a new nation. -

The Articles of Confederation were approved, after 17 months of debating it. -

Stopped the Second Continental Congress from serving as government after five years. -

The Revolutionary War ended, America won. Unfortunatley, this brought economic and political problems to the new nation. -
New Hampshire
The New Hampshire vote was the ninth state to ratify, but it did not go into effect. -
Inaugurating The Government
11 of 13 states were considered "under the federal roof," with New York as temporary Capital. The first Wednesday in January, was when they would choose a president.
