The First (Wooden) Lacrosse stick
The first lacrosse stick was made out of wood with a leather pocket (the strings of the lacrosse stick). It was made by picking a piece of wood and steaming it until it was able to bend. Then they would bend and cut the wood and let it sit until it was hard again. The First plastic head
The first plastic lacrosse head was of, of course, made of plastic but was still on a wooden shaft. The Pocket of the stick, or where the ball is held, was still made out of leather. The First Metal lacrosse stick
The first metal lacrosse stick was made out of either titanium or aluminum which became easier to manufacture and was harder to break like the wooden stick. The first stick to have "Mesh"
The first stick to include "mesh" instead of the traditional stringing that included four leather strings with other strings woven through them. The new lacrosse head variations
The Old plastic lacrosse heads came in one style, the "V" shape, that was one piece of plastic. The new lacrosse heads are still made of durable plastic, but now come in many different face shaped which makes them look "pinched". They also have openings on the sides of the head to make them lighter and durable.
