    The Worldwide web goes viral with its first webpage. The web was originally conceived and developed to meet the demand for automated information-sharing between scientists in universities and institutes around the world.
    The world wide web opened up the internet to everyone, not just scientists. It connected the world in a way that made it much easier for people to get information, share, and communicate.
  • News of Bill Clinton's presidential scandal/ Napster

    News of Bill Clinton's presidential scandal makes it online. The same year, Napster is created. The sandal led to charges of perjury and to the impeachment of Clinton in 1998 by the U.S. House of Representatives. Napster was revolutionary because it allowed users to connect directly and share their music quicker.
  • iPod

    First ever Apple iPod launches. Phillips wanted to invent a better MP3 player. With the iPod you no longer had to carry a CD case, you had all your music at your finger tips.
  • MySpace/ iTunes

    MySpace becomes the most popular social media network. Apple launches iTunes store and sells one million songs in its first week. Myspace was pushed off the front the internet due to rising competition, a buggy website, an annoying user experience, heavy spending and legal battles. Facebook took over in April of 2008
  • Facebook

    Facebook network created. These are just a few effects Facebook has caused Depression, FOMO – Fear of Missing Out, Shortened, Attention Span, Unhealthy Sleeping Patterns. But it has allowed people to build relationships and stay connected.
  • YouTube

    YouTube, the video-sharing site goes live. Youtube is free of cost, easy to use and connect to people. Downside to Youtube is that inappropriate content can be uploaded, bullying and anxiety can come from it.
  • Apple iPhone

    Apple launches iPhone, introducing mobile web browsing. The first iPhone modern smartphone, in which looked like pocket-sized computers that can answer any question with the push of a button.
  • Snapchat

    Snapchat is launched. Snapchat has become a platform for sharing live news without being bombarded with ads. It gives people a way to send photos, messages and videos to their friends.
  • Mobile Networks

    Mobile networks are largely supported by renewable energy sources shifting the world towards a greener future. The small gadget gives us multiple functions, one of the most valuable is communication. Phones make it easier to check up and contact people than ever before. These devices also provide benefits for people that have to keep their busy life in order.
