Creation of the 2nd Generation of Ford F-Series Trucks
Ford introduced its second generation of these pickup trucks in January of 1953. A longer hood, more compact front fenders, and an overhead valve V-8 where characteristics of this era of trucks. Creation of the 4th Generation of Ford F-Series Trucks
Restyled front grilles, a twin I-beam front suspension, and the termination of the uni-body style of trucks characterized the 4th generation of these trucks. The manufacturing process for these trucks now consisted of two seperate pieces (cab and bed) being attached to the frame, which allowed for greater frame flexing which was required during rigorious offroad applications.
