    The Flip book picture was the start to animation films it was made and developed in 1868, the "kineograph paved the way for moving picture animations". Kineograph is latin for a moving picture. It's a booklet with pictures each one following the next to make a moving animation on screen.
  • The Enchanted Drawing

    The Enchanted Drawing
    The Enchanted Drawling was one of the earliest examples of stop motion animations. This animation technique is still used to this day. This was the first animated sequenced film recorded recorded on standard picture film created by J. Stuart Blackton. This animation got Blackton's name of "The Father of American animation".
  • Fantasmagorie

    Fantasmagorie
    Fantasmagorie was one of the first examples of stick figure animation and the earliest examples of hand drawn animation. Emile Cohl was the creator of this short 2 minute animation and was the world's first fully animated cartoon. This evolved the hand drawn picture to screen since the Flip Book.
  • Gertie the Dinosaur

    Bertie the Dinosaur was created by Winsor McCay and was another one of the first fully animated cartoon. This was the first animation film to introduce key framing and animation loops along with lots of other animation industry techniques. These cartoons "led to further animations" such as Disney in the film industry.

    Steamboat Willie changed animation forever, it was the first time that film was fully scored and started the use of sound in animation. This animation popularized the famous Mickey Mouse and put Walt Disney on the map. This was also the first feature length animated movie and synchronized sound in a film production.
  • Snow White

    Snow White
    Snow White produced by Walt Disney productions was the first full length animated film. This film used and showed the success of cel animation and used new animation of 2-d characters on a transparent sheet. This film paved the way for some of the most famous animated film productions in time.
